About Acupuncture
Acupuncture is part of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a healthcare system practiced for the prevention and treatment of disease. Acupuncture is a process of an insertion of very small disposable needles into the body at specific points along meridians. Acupuncture moves qi (Qi is energy or our life force) .  Most people do not experience discomfort with the needles.  In fact, most people find acupuncture to be a relaxing and rejuvenating experience.
What acupuncture can treat:
Hundreds of clinical studies on the benefits of acupuncture show that it successfully treats conditions ranging from musculoskeletal problems (back pain, neck pain, and others) to nausea, migraine headache, anxiety, depression, insomnia, and infertility.
Although it is not inclusive, below is a list of conditions and circumstances for which people commonly find acupuncture treatment to be effective.
General: Allergies, Asthma, Sinusitis, Headaches, TMJ, Back Pain, Sciatica, Musculoskeletal Problems
Insomnia, Anxiety, Dizziness, Depression, High Blood Pressure, Chronic Fatigue, Fibromyalgia,  Low Energy
Addictions, Digestive Disorders, Sexual Dysfunction, Post-Operative Recovery, Palliative Care
What to expect:
Improvement of symptoms through acupuncture  is a process.  The effect of acupuncture is cumulative. Depending on the onset and severity of particular health conditions, you may find relief after the first treatment or after several continuous treatments. Most people start to notice changes after 4 to 6 treatments.  Like most other treatment modalities, acupuncture works best when you can commit to a plan.
